Summer Pop-up Places and Fresh Ideas of How to Relax in The City This Summer

It is this time of this year where we can enjoy fresh air and an outdoors lifestyle a little bit more. Londoners creativity blossoms so that we can have a quality choice of places to relax in this summer. Here is our pick of 5 wonderful pop-ups:

1. Picnic Besides Thames (Courtesy of BBQ Club)

A giant deck will be built this May, as planned by the Jimmy Garcia from the BBQ Club. White picket fences will surround private picnic areas, complete with a lawn, parasol, deckchairs, and beanbags. They will also be equipped with summer games: croquet, giant Jenga, and mini golf. The BBQ Club will also offer hampers stuffed full of alfresco goodies but of course, you can bring your very own combination, as healthy as you wish the food and drinks to be.

2. Open Air Theatres

We all are used to the open air cinemas but how about open air theatres? As of May we can now enjoy a good play and a fresh air at the same time. Among many options available, it os worth checking Shakespeare’s Globe, Regent’s Park Open-Air Theatre, Covent Garden May Fayere and Puppet Festival, West End Live (musicals) at Trafalgar Square or the annual street theatre blowourt of the Greenwhich and Docklands International Festival.

3. Two-day style and wellbeing festival, May 10–11

You can get pampered during these two jam-packed days of fashion and wellbeing – Stella Live is taking place at the Saatchi Gallery and promises a celebration of fashion, food, beauty and interiors, relationships, wellbeing and life advice. Mix of well-being topics, from fitness tips and tricks to living with anxiety, conquering the workplace and shaping your personal style.

4. Chelsea Flower Show, May 21-25

Getting even closer to the nature, the colourful, the beautiful, the sensual…It is the blooming brilliant four-day floral festival where you can enjoy smelling the flower and you can explore beautiful gardens, designed by some of the world’s most clever horticulturalists.

5. Sunrise Sessions With Lululemon & Press (August-September)

The way to bring you peace at the start of their week, with early morning (7:15) yoga sessions on the roof of the Ham Yard Hotel (there is cover if it’s raining). You can enjoy a calm but energising yoga class. After the yoga session, you will be taken down to the Press store in the Ham Yard to get a free California Health Shake to truly set you up for the morning. You’ll be done by 8:30am.
