The Story
Jennie Allen has opened Bayley & Sage first store in Wimbledon Village in 1997. The name is a combination of two words, inspired by the wisdom and food (‘Sage’) and by a friend newborn’s name (‘Bayley’) to honor the next generation.
It was Jennie’s desire to sell great food to the people of London, food which is fresh, unprocessed, tastes great, is sourced from quality suppliers internationally and represents the best of seasons. Her personal health issues further reinforced the belief that fresh food is a vital part of good health and a happy lifestyle. This plus a community sense makes the stores a unique place to shop in.
