Eating healthy does not mean risking your diet to be boring and saying goodbye to desserts. Good news for all sweets lovers, healthy and sweet can co-exist in a perfect balance. Here are a few examples.
INGREDIENTS:
240g cacao butter
240g coconut butter
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
Stevia to sweeten (if necessary)
Hazelnut or almond butter
METHOD:
Melt the cacao butter and almond butter in the pan and then add the other ingredients. Half fill moulds with the chocolate mix and place in freezer for 10 mins add a small dollop of nut butter on top of each chocolate and then fill the rest of the mould with the liquid chocolate mix Refrigerate until set. ENJOY!
INGREDIENTS:
100g unsweetened shredded coconut
2 tsp melted coconut oil
Stevia to sweeten
2 tbsp unsweetened coconut milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp ground cinnamon
A pinch of salt
METHOD:
Place 60g shredded coconut in a food processor along with the coconut oil Process on high speed, scraping down the sides when needed, until a paste forms Add the stevia, coconut milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt and process until well combined Add 30g coconut and pulse until just combined Shape the mixture into balls (approx 12) and coat with the remaining shredded coconut Refrigerate for an hour
INGREDIENTS:
3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and skinned
2 scoops Chocolate Protein Powder
1tsp baking powder
80mls organic coconut oil, melted
4 tbsp raw cacao powder
2 tbsp flaxseeds, soaked in 2tbs of water
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180c Lightly coat baking tray with coconut oil. In a large bowl, mash sweet potatoes Add protein powder, baking powder, raw cacao, and mix well. Add coconut oil and flaxseeds to the mixture and combine. Pour mixture into a baking tray, spreading the mixture evenly with a spatula. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool before cutting into squares.
